Positive review analysis
Review collection
To collect positive reviews, I went to Google Maps and searched for “TPC Scottsdale.” I filtered reviews by highest rating (5-star reviews) and selected a mix of recent and relevant comments. I focused on reviews that mentioned fan experience, course conditions, atmosphere, and overall satisfaction.
Analyzing positive review
First analysis
For the first analysis, I copied several positive reviews into ChatGPT and asked it to identify common themes, strengths, and patterns in customer satisfaction.
Prompt used:
“Analyze the following positive customer reviews for TPC Scottsdale. Identify the most common themes, strengths, and what customers value most about their experience.”
Result:
- High-energy and unique atmosphere
- Iconic experience at hole 16
- Well-maintained course conditions
- Strong event organization
- Fun and social environment
Second analysis (further analysis – word association)
Next, I used a word association approach to better understand emotional and descriptive language used in positive reviews.
Prompt used:
“From these reviews, extract the most frequently used descriptive words and phrases and group them into themes.”
Result:
- Atmosphere: “electric,” “loud,” “fun,” “crazy”
- Course quality: “clean,” “beautiful,” “well-kept”
- Experience: “memorable,” “unique,” “must-see”
- Social: “party,” “crowd,” “energy”
Recommendation
Based on the positive reviews, I asked ChatGPT to generate marketing recommendations to reinforce strengths.
Prompt used:
“Based on these positive review insights, suggest marketing strategies TPC Scottsdale can use to enhance and promote their strengths.”
Result:
- Highlight the #16 hole experience in marketing campaigns
- Use social media to showcase crowd energy and fan moments
- Promote the event as both a golf tournament and entertainment experience
- Emphasize exclusivity and “bucket list” appeal
Negative review analysis

For negative reviews, I filtered Google Maps reviews to 1–3 stars. I selected reviews that mentioned complaints about crowd control, pricing, logistics, and wait times.

Recommendation
Finally, I asked ChatGPT to suggest improvements based on the negative feedback.

Result:
- Improve crowd flow and signage throughout the course
- Add more seating and viewing areas
- Introduce better transportation and parking guidance
